Cranial Therapies Relaunches

September 21, 2005

A growing medical problem among babies is deformational plagiocephaly - “flattened” or “flat head” syndrome. Our latest client, Cranial Therapies, Inc., is a clinic that specializes in treating infants suffering from improperly shaped heads.

Cranial Therapies came to us with a Web site (http://www.cranialtherapies.com/) that, in its own way, needed reforming and better shaping.  We worked with them in several steps: first we helped them to organize their content in logical categories (logical to their visitors, not just to their staff).  Then we worked with the designer of their printed materials to make sure that the new Web site design was going to be part of an integrated brand message.  Finally, we installed and configured a content management system and blog software so that they could update the Web site themselves going forward—that way, their new Web site won’t ever get as out of date as their old one, because they’ll be able to do additions and maintenance themselves.

The result is a site that’s already getting rave reviews—Cranial Therapies now has a Web site that not only their mothers love. smile It’s got frequently asked questions, case studies with before and after photos, parent testimonials and a fun kid?s photo corner of happy babies.  What’s not to like about that?

Singapore Trip

September 10, 2005

Hop Studios will be traveling in Singapore and Malaysia from September 14-25, 2005. We expect to have fairly regular Internet access, but naturally won?t be accessible during normal business hours or by phone.

Travis and I are thrilled about this trip. I have been asked to lead a blogging conference ? the first ever in Asia, we think ? and will be doing some TV appearances (yikes!) and interviews about the conference and for my book, Buzz Marketing with Blogs for Dummies. Many of you have asked how the book has done since it was published in April. I don?t have hard numbers, but my publisher is pleased, and so am I. It hovers in the top 10,000 at Amazon.com, and has since before it was published. And it?s apparently done well enough to get me invited to Asia to do this conference!

We apologize for any inconvenience this trip causes, and will do our best to address any requests you may have before, or immediately following, our trip. If you’d like to speak with us before we leave, please give us a call. If you know you need to update your Web site during this time, please try to get us the materials and your request before close of business on Monday, September 12. Other issues, beyond emergencies, will have to wait until we return on September 25.

Emergency issues like Web servers that crash, or libelous statements on your home page wink can be addressed by contacting Lance Watanabe, who will do his best to troubleshoot your situation, and contact us if that?s necessary. He can be reached at “lance,” at hopstudios.com, but please, emergencies only.

Have a wonderful September!

September 10, 2005

We’ve been hired by General Mills to help them start blogging.

I’ll share more details as soon as I can, but this is going to be cool.
