Here’s the idea behind Reeveal Comments: All the comments associated with an entry are accessible—and can be managed—from the same page you edit the entry on. No more hunting for the right dropdown; no more digging to find the comment you’re after. Just open up the entry and click the “Comments” tab.

Reeveal Comments uses AJAX to minimize overhead and sweeten the interface. If you don’t click the “Comments” tab, you won’t run any extra comments queries or download any extra comments HTML. If you do click the tab and want to open, close, or edit a comment, you won’t lose the entry page you’re on.
Sound like something you might like? Go a head, grab a copy of the extension and give it a try. If you think it’s cool (and we sure hope you do), thank Matt for coming up with it. And, if you don’t mind, leave a tip in the tip jar so we can keep developing add-ons for you.
As always, if you run into any issues or have any suggestions, just drop us a line or leave us a comment.

Just stumbled into this ext as it looks like something I would like to use in a project. After installing I receive the following message on my CP page:
Notice: Undefined variable: tab_content in /home/www/.../httpdocs/system/extensions/ext.reeveal_comments.php on line 165

Please note the error in my first meaase occures on editing. Making a new entry in the CP pages gives me en error like this:
Notice: Undefined variable: tab_content in /home/www/.../httpdocs/system/extensions/ext.reeveal_comments.php on line 178

Hello Hop Studio,
ext.publish_tweeks.php does not seem to play nice with this extension. Also it seems that the installed version number from the tar downloaded is 1.0.0 and not 1.0.1

Thanks all for getting in touch. I just posted 1.0.2; please let us know how it works for you!

Could you add a couple of screen grabs to demonstrate? It just makes my life easier understanding it without downloading and installing!

It would be handy if the comments tab did not appear on weblogs in which comments are not allowed.

I’m loving this extension but I’m having trouble with the comment_total variable:
I have comments set to be moderated, and if I “open” a comment status via the Reeveal Comments tab, even though the comment appears on the front end, the comment_total number does not change (the same is true if I close an open comment).
This is my first time playing around with EE’s comments, and I’ve found it all a bit cumbersome so perhaps I’ve gotten something wrong here, but the comment_total does work as expected when I modify comment status’ outside of Reeveal.
I’m working locally right now, but if need be I should have a live version demo in a few days…
Cheers

Sounds like a usability win to me! Must second the comment about tabs appearing on uncommentable blog posts though.
