When Dan Appel wanted to take his site for flat file to cutting-edge, he asked Hop Studios to help out.

Dan Appel Creative is a boutique film production company specializing in cable series promotion, branded content spots and documentary.

The old site was a flat file site that was difficult to update and maintain. The new site goes to the next level, with the integration of a content management system, and a myriad of cutting-edge technologies to create pixel-perfect visual representation platform for the company’s video spots. This is some sweet code, if we do say so ourselves.

Among the technologies used:

• jQuery and Javascript
• the font replacement code Cufon
• snazzy CSS tricks

As well as showcasing the company’s past work, the site now offers a password-protected section for sharing in-progress work with current clients.
