If you live in Los Angeles, you’ve probably heard of Mäni’s Bakery Café on Fairfax. They’re delicous and really healthy—‘nough said.
They came to us with a site that was very, shall we say, Web 1.0. Hard to update, hard to navigate, and a jarring contrast to the careful branding and design of their physical location and signage.
We were hired because they didn’t just want a face lift for their Web site. They wanted to reach out to their customers, many of whom are quite fanatic about the eatery. They wanted to be able to get in better touch and open up lines of communication. They wanted a blog—we do those.
Since launching the new site, they’ve used it to introduce various staff members, to announce contest and get feedback on new menu items. They do most of the updating themselves, adding to the blog and modifying the menu. They also change all the site images of food themselves regularly. They have us do occasional work every few months, just when they want to add something novel and technically tricky.
