Picture Kitchen came to Hop Studios with a half-built web site from another developer, and they wanted us to help them complete it. They had a fresh ExpressionEngine install and were in need of further development. Being excellent designer-y types, they had Photoshop files ready for slicing and dicing. Oh, by they way, Picture Kitchen “designs and builds branded environments, entertaining live events, and engaging exhibits” in California.
Our first step was to update their EE install to 1.6.7, and then configure the site. They went well beyond a basic “blog and static pages” setup. We installed SimpleViewer in their projects galleries to display a slideshow of images from the different types of installation and exhibit work they do. The design files were provided by Picture Kitchen which we implemented as graphics and HTML/CSS on the site. It was purely a development project, executed on a tight deadline.
