While at the DT, he dabbled in features and editorials, working his way up to Editorial Director, the most fun job at the DT, right?

Let's go live to Susan Kang: "After getting the big bucks from the DT, I decided that being a journalist was not for me. (I'm allergic to being poor.) I chucked my journalism/poli-sci degree and went to law school at the University of San Diego. I am currently a deputy district attorney for the County of Orange. I am engaged to be married to fellow Michael Schroeder (USC, B.A. 79; USC J.D. 82 but not a DT alumni of the same name) on September 2nd of this year at the Mission San Juan Capistrano. Mike is the immediate past Chairman of the California Republican Party and currently a campaign chair for Bush 2000. He also owns an insurance company. I loved working for DT and miss USC. See you at the football games and let's win that national championship this year."

I'm also a technology freelancer for Networker, USC's magazine, MacWeek, Whole Earth Review, MicroTimes and Digital Advisor in Tokyo. And I do some marketing stuff for Apple and Silicon Graphics. Working as Asst. Professor at Cal State San Bernardino in Psychology. Director of Learning Research Institute. Married (Allison), two dogs (Pandora and Sascha), cat, iguana, chameleons, too many bunnies. He was working at Educational Testing Service as an Associate Research Scientist in the Center for Constructs. He earned his Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at Yale (by finishing a maze in an appropriate amount of time) under Dr. Robert Sternberg. His dissertation examined creative writers, journalists and other blips on the mental wellness scale. One of his findings, on the link between poets and dying young, has gotten an absurd amount of coverage in the "NY Times, LA Times, AP, UPI, Reuters, BBC, NPR, CNN, etc, etc, etc." He is also a playwright and lyricist; his plays have been performed off-off-Bway and all across the United States, Canada, and Australia. His musical "Discovering Magenta" is available on CD from Amazon.com (and this editor stands to make $$$$$ * 0.001% if you buy the CD from this link!). His resume is 12 pages long.

According to the enthusiastic David Childers, Sean bounced from an internship at the San Diego Union-Tribune to an internship at the Modesto Bee to a part-time job in the sports department at the Orange County Register before arriving in Lancaster, Cal. There he covered the booming aerospace industry for the Antelope Valley Press. Sean parlayed his experience covering aerospace there into an even better gig covering the same beat at the Long Beach Press-Telegram. Then, he bounced to the sports section covering the L.A. Clippers for the LBPT sports slot editor Greg Keraghosian. Ewell adds this: "Kearns: Ditched the Clippers, the Press-Telegram and the West Coast all together, moving first to D.C. then to NYC, where he's starting a career in commercial real estate." (Though one other report has him "currently working for 'W' at the White House.")

A stellar photographer for both the DT and El Rodeo, Greg avoided editorship until Mona convinced him to do the El Rod 1999. Contrary to popular belief, Greg never returned to the swampy morass that is South Florida. Instead, he dove headlong into a professional architecture career (a move he seemingly regrets) first in LA, then Madrid, and back in LA again. He whiles away his days downtown but resides in a rented house in Silverlake. Troy Witt says "Go figure."

Kelleher is now working at Newsday, covering cops and courts on Long Island and living in a rather large apartment (who knows how she found it) in Queens. She's been at Newsday since Sept. 2002, arriving there fresh off a year in the METPRO program. Jenn just saw her in December, when she graciously let Jenn stay at her place because she (Jenn) was stuck on Long Island covering women's college basketball in very snowy conditions and couldn't drive back home to Delaware.

After working at the L.A. Downtown News for a few years after college, in 1993 he was hired by Back Stage, the New York actor's trade paper, to start up a West Coast version, called Back Stage West. He was named Editor in Chief/Associate Publisher, but left in 2003 to go solo. He wrote a blog for Variety called Wicked Little Town, but gave that up. Also, known for his heartfelt balladry on an unmentionable musical instrument, Kendt now fronts an L.A. rock band, Millhouse, and performs music on his own, as well. He and John Eberhardt were college roommates, I'm told.

A good soul if there ever was one, Greg did most of his post-collegiate time at the Press-Telegram in Long Beach, but they didn't hook him up with a parking space, and he's since headed for green pastures and open fields in his new post as sports copy editor at the San Jose Mercury News. Greg spent the summer of '98 as a Pulliam Fellow, working as a business reporter at the Arizona Republic.

For the past 12 years, Azniv's been working as a classroom teacher for LAUSD in elementary school in Hollywood. Consecutively, for six years, worked as a per diem graphics coordinator at KTLA for the 10 o'clock news. Authored the Teacher's Guide to accompany Huell Howser's California Missions Series. In 2001, graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) with a degree in Fashion Design. Happily married to Armand Sahakian. Looking forward to celebrating their third wedding anniversary on June 11 and moving into their new house.
