Staff Writer
1990 - 1992 Personal recollections
Tiffany tacks on this: "I'd also like to add the arrival of our baby girl Chase Ming Dodge (born March 26, 2004). Chase joins big sister Charlie, who is three and a half." Tiffany's previous testimony: "I'm married, and just became a new mom...my daughter is turning one later this month. :) After writing for the DT, I decided to give it a try at the Pasadena Star-News, where I intered in the summer of '92, and filed some stories -- including the coverage of then-Governor Clinton's campaign stop in my home town of San Gabriel. Also during this internship, I spent some time covering the murder trial of two teenagers from South Pasadena H.S. who killed 3 of their classmates w/ shotguns...the experience exposed me to criminal law, and after graduating I decided to attend law school at, where else, USC. I'm practicing law in Pasadena now, at a small litigation firm. The majority of my practice is civil litigation (employment and business matters), though every once in a while, I get to work on a federal criminal defense case."

Tamanaha, John
Sports Editor, Associate Sports Editor, Assistant Sports Editor, Sports Columnist
1989 - 1992
There's an arena football team in L.A. called the Avengers, and John is doing PR (Veep of Comm., in fact!) for it, I've been told. He was an assistant sports information director, and the director of Athletic Publications, at USC (Heritage Hall, to be exact). Two other former DT sports editors also work at USC: Paul Goldberg is USC's newest Assistant Sports Information Director and Roger Horne is back from Ohio State and serves as the ex-Sports Information Graduate Assistant, now full-time Assistant Sports Information Director. Another former DT sports editor, Scott Wolf, is also in the sports info office a lot, as he covers the Trojans for the L.A. Daily News. All four of them frequently visit the DT offices to keep in touch with Ron.

Tanaka, Trent
Graphics Editor, Staff Writer
1992 - 1995
Trent served many dynamic years as "Promotion Director/ Graphic Designer/ Animator/ Webmaster" for KICU-TV, Channel 36 in San Jose. But can be found there no more, having moved to the Evers Group, a multimedia dotcom thingy. He also just purchased a house (Feb. 23 finalized). If I was feeling particularly inspired, I'd say that he was also moonlighting as a bobsled racer, but he isn't and I'm not. But Trent will be pulling a parasail behind his recently purchased boat this year. Let's just say "break a leg" or an arm or some appendage. Also, Trent's dad is renting a townhouse to Tracie Tso in San Jose. Really small world.

Tesselaar, Johannes "Hans"
Sports Editor
1982 - 1984
Michael Lazarus reported (and a source confirmed) that Hans works for the Los Angeles Times Valley Edition as a sports copy editor. Now, I think he's on the downtown desk. He graduated from USC in 1984 after a tour of duty as sports editor his last semester). The Daily News saw the promise within and scooped him up in 1986 (after numerous internships after graduation). At the Daily News, he did "everything from covering AYSO and Little League games to becoming the Clippers beat writer to becoming the copy-desk chief and finally becoming an assistant sports editor." Eventfully, in Sept. of 1996 he was hired in the Valley section as the slot for the sports section. Hans was spotted at the 1997 DT Homecoming reunion for the Allan Malamud scholarship.

City writer (1 yr.), Diversions writer (3 yrs.)
1994 - 1998 Personal recollections
Keisha calls it in: "The last time I updated my profile I was excitedly starting my new job at Arthur Andersen... what a difference a couple of years make. Following the fallout last April, I took a job at the University of Chicago Press doing web design and miscellaneous computer-related work for the Astrophysical Journal. I'm still keeping one very longing eye on grad school back at good ol' 'SC though. We'll see." Following graduation in 1998, Keisha moved back to Chicago (hometown) and worked at Northwestern U. for a while before moving on to Andersen as a web designer.

Thompson, Mark
Assistant News Editor, Associate Campus Editor, Entertainment Editor
1977 - 1979 Personal recollections
Mark muses: "To update you on my life since the DT, I went to grad school at Harvard (Masters in City Planning, 1981) from the John F. Kennedy School of Government. I've spent most of the past 22 years in New York, working in commercial real estate after a few years with the city government (with Mayor Ed Koch). In 1990, I fled even further east, to Estonia, which was in the process of regaining independence from the (former) Soviet Union. I developed the country's first commercial office building, along with housing and some other businesses, and had a great time (And how else would I have learned to speak Estonian?). Eventually, I came back to Manhattan, started a small management consulting/business development firm and was bought out by a 'dot com.' Now, I'm a Managing Director at Newmark Real Estate. While my writing is mostly limited to reports on the industry and proposals, I am currently the New York correspondent for a South East Asian magazine, writing for the English language edition (and having the articles translated for the Chinese edition)."

Staff Writer, City Editor, Diversions Editor
1993 - 1996
Nik reports: "After eight months of Slovak language class outside Washington, DC, I arrived in Bratislava, Slovakia on June 6 for my second assignment in the foreign service. It's a little different from my last assignment, which was just consular work. For the first year I will be in the political section, meeting with officials (on my level, usually), non-government organizations, etc. I will spend my second year here in the consular section. Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is on the Danube River about 40 miles southeast of Vienna. I live in an apartment in the old town, which is very nice, though a bit noisy if I keep the windows open because the entire downtown is a pedestrian zone." Nik was in Manila from mid-2000 until 2002.

Staff Writer, Columnist (?)
1992 - 1995
Elson exults: "The former creator of the Diversions column known as "?" (which every reader loved and every staff hated) fell out of the media loop soon after graduation in the mid '90s. Fell into the burgeoning yet still inconsistent dot.com / IT field circa 1996-2001. Has since devoted his life to his musical exploits, now going under the name, "e:trinity," making electronica music and releasing CDs and tracks for dancefloor consumption. Contemplates once in a while about re-entering the wonderful world of media. Enjoys tearing up those USC Alumni fundraiser letters sent to him since he believes his degree has yet to generate enough income to actually make giving money back to his Alma Mater feasible. He still has plans for world domination though not exactly in the way he envisioned back at 'SC. " He still likes buses, I think.
