What Hop Studios Is Up To

If you’re wondering why I haven’t been writing much—or if you’re wondering why I haven’t been writing well —or even if you think I’ve been writing too much and it’s just fine and my ego is just full of stupid rocks—I wanted to take a moment to talk about what I’ve been doing lately, Hop Studios-wise.

Am I a Whining Pussy?

Seems my emigration post got a bit of a reaction.  I wanted to explain myself, because if you just read the previous posting, you might find it a little flip. I didn’t move up here because of Bush became president because, well, because I’m not precognitive or even a good guesser.  I had no idea how things would work out.

New Cell Phone Number, Same Crappy Service

Overheard

“An unexamined life is not worth living.”

...who said it?

“BBFF (Best Bacon Friends Forever)”

...who said it?

“I find myself thinking of a checklist Wozniak wrote a few years ago describing how to become a genius. His advice was straightforward yet strangely terrible: You must clarify your goals, gain knowledge through spaced repetition, preserve health, work steadily, minimize stress, refuse interruption, and never resist sleep when tired. This should lead to radically improved intelligence and creativity. The only cost: turning your back on every convention of social life.”

...who said it?

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.”

...who said it?

“Ever have something in your teeth that you cannot stop tonguing?”

...who said it?
