Why Cell Phone Companies Are the Spawn of the Devil (Chapter 1: Rogers Wireless)

logo_rogers.gif

So, for the second month in a row, Rogers Wireless has overcharged me on my cell phone bill.  Does this make them devil spawn?  No.  They could be pawns, I suppose, and not actual progeny.

Lukaska’s Diagnosis

The vet told me about the news about Lukaska last week, and I’ve been wracking my brain for some way to make it funny. But it’s, how you say, not so funny.

Learning at the ICBC (DMV)

I was in line today to get my B.C. driver’s license, and I learned something. First, I learned the value of my time. Second, I learned that I should apply more lessons from the board game Monopoly to Real Life.

Lukaska Visits the Vet

Today I took Lukaska to the vet.

She’s lost a lot of weight lately.  She’s gone from, “That’s a happy cat! Cost a lot to feed her, does it?” to “Oh, she’s so pretty! When is she due?” to “Have you been feeding her diet food lately?”

Overheard

“BBFF (Best Bacon Friends Forever)”

...who said it?

“I find myself thinking of a checklist Wozniak wrote a few years ago describing how to become a genius. His advice was straightforward yet strangely terrible: You must clarify your goals, gain knowledge through spaced repetition, preserve health, work steadily, minimize stress, refuse interruption, and never resist sleep when tired. This should lead to radically improved intelligence and creativity. The only cost: turning your back on every convention of social life.”

...who said it?

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.”

...who said it?

“Ever have something in your teeth that you cannot stop tonguing?”

...who said it?

“ . . . the war situation has developed not necessarily to Japan’s advantage.”

...who said it?
