1 Cosmic Coincidence and 3 Updates

So I’m in Calgary this weekend.  I went over to the local Mac’s convenience store to get a slurpee and mail a letter, and as I’m in there paying, I put down my cell phone and leave it behind.

Guess who picked it up?

Maggie’s Broken Leg

Maggie decided today to jump from my office window ledge down to the balcony outside the kitchen.

When I heard the thump, I ran downstairs and found her waiting to be let in.

House For Sale … Again

Dear universe,

You’ve been very good to me lately.  Very good, in fact.  I’ve been getting into shape, collaborating well with co-workers, enjoying the sun, eating well, seeing friends, getting new clients.

So what’s up with this sign on my lawn?

Today was a lovely day, and yesterday wasn’t half bad, either.  Friday, also lots of goodness.

Overheard

“Anybody can become angry; that is easy. But to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way—that is not within everybody’s power; that is not easy.”

...who said it?

“Complaining is silly. Either act or forget.”

...who said it?

“To love is to stop comparing.”

...who said it?

“Let us face a pluralistic world in which there are no universal churches, no single remedy for all diseases, no one way to teach or write or sing, no magic diet, no world poets, and no chosen races, but only the wretched and wonderfully diversified human race.”

...who said it?

“Music is all about timing”

...who said it?
