I took a walk through downtown Los Angeles earlier this month.
I’ve just posted 121 pictures from the walk.
They’re not captioned or tagged as nice as I’d like, but I just got too excited about sharing them.
In all the time I lived in Los Angeles, I never walked around downtown. But having a camera (and two people with me) gave me incentive and a “protective cloak.”
And lest you think I’m just expressing paranoia, we did see a homeless guy injecting something (it was more likely heroin than insulin ) into the neck of a homeless woman on the sidewalk as we went by, and we did get glares and yells as we walked through the more off-the-path areas. On the whole walk, I saw only two other Caucasians (and I’m including Jae and Lance, the two people I was walking with!)
