Two Nights of Dating
So I just added Google’s ads to my Web column today. It’s a little odd, like having a sponsor for your journal. “Dear Diary, today I asked Becky to the dance. She’s so pretty. I was so nervous I had to drink an entire DELICIOUS ORANGE FANTA™ to get up the courage.”
I’m doing it partially because I want to see what the technology can do, and to be able to recommend it and troubleshoot it for Hop Studios clients. Also, I would like to become financially independent, nay, stinkingly rich. Like, “What’s that smell?” “Oh, that’s just the money in my shoes. I like to walk on hundreds.” “You pig.” (Monocle flies out of my eye in shock.)
So far, the funniest ad to appear on my site was this one, for very soft socks, which ran beside my musings against the administration that brought us into the Iraq war. You know, nothing says “Give Peace a Chance” like very plush foot coverings.
