Travis Smith: my resume, bio and photos back to the main blog page

Happy Cinco de Mayo.

I always read that like it’s Cinco de “Miracle Whip,” like it’s some sort of Kraft holiday.

But what I really wrote was to ask you to take a look at http://www2.variety.com/ after 12 noon tomorrow.  You can use “variety” and “guest” to get in and look around, but don’t pass that around.

Send me any comments and feedback.  There are still some bugs.  Feel free to point them out.  If you point out the most, I’ll give you a box of Krispy Kreme donuts.

In yet other news, I went to Legoland last weekend.  It was a fun place to hang.  As was Watts Towers, if you haven’t been there, you don’t know what you’re missing (obviously!)

See ya!

Overheard

“Work saves us from three great evils: boredom, vice and need.”

...who said it?

“A third of high school graduates, along with 42 percent of college graduates, never read a book after they finish school. Eighty percent of the families in the United States last year did not buy a book.”

...who said it?

“All things are difficult before they are easy.”

...who said it?

“All growth is, by its very definition, not sustainable.”

...who said it?

“We’re Justin and Dave, and this is our improbably, bacon-flavored story...”

...who said it?
