So, I like to cook, and there’s one thing I cook extremely well: lasagna. You can ask anyone who’s tried it, it’s double plus good. Here’s a picture:
Well, today, I ended up making a whole lot extra, and there’s a whole pan of it that would make a very respectable main course. So I’m offering it up here to the first people who invite Susie and I to dinner, with themselves and three other people, for a total of six people.
You need to provide the oven to bake it in, and the dinner companions. I’d especially like to meet some new folks, because friendships made over lasagna are the best kind. We’ll bring lasagna, a fresh bag of salad, and a bottle of wine. Any other dinner-related snacks/drinks etc. are up to you. In case of a tie, the folks who can fit us in soonest (as long as we can fit it in) get the lasagna and the dinner guests associated with it.
Oh, and just in case you’re wondering, I DO NOT recommend using the regular lasagna noodles that you need to boil first instead of the instant ready noodles. They’re a whole lot more trouble, a lesson I learned today. The fingers on my left hand are still tender from trying to peel the noodles apart.
“The superior man contains the means in his own person. He bides his time and then acts. Why then should not everything go well? He acts and is free. Therefore all he has to do is to go forth, and he takes his quarry. This is how a man fares who acts after he has ready the means.”
“kindergarchy n. Rule or domination by children; the belief that children’s needs and preferences take precedence over those of their parents or other adults.”
“As in 2007, the average U.S. worker has 14 vacation days this year. Just across the Canadian border, our counterparts get an average of 17 vacation days annually. But if you want a real “vacation envy” complex, consider the vacation banks of European workers. France tops the list with an average of 37 days, followed by Italy (33 days), Spain (31), the Netherlands and Austria (28), Germany (27) and Great Britain (26). “
You can come over to our place, but I'm not sure the lasagna will stand up to the trip . . .

well, doesn't seem like people are too excited about your lasagna - sorry. i certainly am!! but since you were just over, i thought i'd be polite and give someone else the opportunity to share your company.
but, i can no longer resist the temptation of cheese, noodles and meat! oh, wait... meat, huh? actually, i guess noriko wouldn't be too keen on that after all... unless it happens to be veggie lasagna?

Sadly, it's meat, meat, meat, all the way through.
Maybe she can eat the cheese off the top. Or we can order in some extra pizza....
