Seems like I might be in trouble, Google-wise.

After a run up the Google charts that has brought me all the way to #2 for “Travis Smith,” there’s a new T.S. in town.

Sure, he’s still only at #8, tops.  But since he’s playing for major league, there’s all sorts of people writing about him now.  NewspapersSports sitesChat boards. Reference sources.

And all this means he’s not likely to go away.  The heavy metal CD artist Travis Smith—there’s always the chance that he’ll find Jesus in his paint kit and fade from the Web.  But pitcher Smith—well, that game’s all about the record keeping.  He’s going to be online forever.

Sigh.  And don’t even get me started on my pure “Travis” rankings.  #109?  Behind a lake in Texas?  Which presidential candidate do I have to sleep with to get some name recognition around here?
