Flickr's Odd Browser Color Inconsistency
Susie and I went back to Calgary a few weeks ago, and while we were there, we accomplished two significant things.
One, we painted my Mom’s front door, which was a belated Christmas present, and two, we attended the annual lilac festival. This is the first and only one I’ve ever attended.
Truth is, we didn’t actually DO the painting ourselves. I would have, but I wanted it to have that real shiny smooth look, and it was a metal door, so I hired a guy with an air spray paint machine thing, and it ended up looking like this:
We got to eat at the wonderful Chili Club Thai House restaurant, which was my sister’s suggestion and an awesome one at that.
And then on Sunday morning, we went out to breakfast and saw the Lilac Festival, which shut down 4th street and was a pretty fun time.
There was face painting and little sugared doughnuts. There were masks and all sorts of odd things, and an energy drink promotion for a drink you can’t buy in any store. I ordered some online and am a big fan of it now.
This guy was a one man band, with a great sense of rhythm.
A rude and caustic lady in a sparkling tube top ate fire and berated the audience into giving her money. I really didn’t like her.
Today in Vancouver, there was a Greek street festival about 4 blocks form my house, but I didn’t go see it because it was intermittantly pouring rain and I didn’t really want to leave the house.
